There are three convenient Insomnia and Sleep Institute locations in the Phoenix Valley area, including Scottsdale, Gilbert and Phoenix. The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona is home to seven MD sleep specialists who have undergone extensive sleep medicine training via fellowship training and continuous education, two clinical psychologists focused on behavioral sleep medicine and insomnia, and four physician assistants. At The Insomnia and Sleep Institute, we treat every person of nearly every age, with 10 – 15 percent of patients being as young as the age of two. We’re also the only sleep clinic in Phoenix offering clinical trials for sleep disorders, so it’s easy to see that the Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona isn’t just miles ahead of others on the sleep medicine trails, but blazing them.
Company History
The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona sets the standard in sleep medicine in Arizona. Physician-owned by Dr. Ruchir P. Patel and staffed by fellowship-trained and board-certified sleep medicine physicians, clinical psychologists, physician assistants with CCSH credentials, and registered respiratory therapists. The Insomnia and Sleep Institute began as a comprehensive sleep medicine center —not a testing facility—in 2013 and has always provided the highest level of sleep medicine care.
With unprecedented staffing levels, patients enjoy access to numerous sleep specialists, clinical psychologists focused on cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia, and physician assistants trained in sleep medicine, and teams including respiratory therapists along with medical assistants guiding them.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
The Insomnia and Sleep Institute founder and Medical Director, Dr. Ruchir P. Patel is one of the few full-time sleep medicine specialists in the state of Arizona that has also completed formal training in Sleep Disorders Medicine for both adults and pediatrics. He was named Phoenix Magazine's Top Doctor in 2016-2025 for Sleep Medicine by his peers.
